Recognizing and Eliminating Bias When Negotiating In The Legal Profession — 1 Texas Ethics Credit

In this April 22, 2021, one-hour presentation, Florina Altshiler, Esquire explains gender, racial and cultural barriers to negotiating in the legal profession. After sharing the scope of bias negotiating disadvantages, she discusses how to address these disadvantages and lastly provides practical tools to move forward while recognizing these biases.

Florina Altshiler is the lead trial attorney and a partner with the Buffalo, NY office of Russo & Gould LLP, where she specializes in the defense of large loss casualty matters. Her practice also includes medical malpractice, construction liability, general negligence law and criminal defense. Ms. Altshiler is an adjunct law professor at Columbia and SUNY Buffalo.
