Covenants Not To Compete — 1 Pennsylvania General Credit

With the recent rise in employee mobility, actual and potential loss of a business's confidential information has risen exponentially. Covenants not to compete (also referred to as "non-compete agreements") have become an increasingly important tool to prevent such losses.

In this 1.25-hour, July 22, 2022 program, Michael J. Hutter, Esquire gives a practical explanation of covenants not to compete, including their validity, suggested terms, enforceability, and much more. He includes a sample non-compete agreement and many useful tips and warnings.

Mr. Hutter is Professor of Law at Albany Law School where he teaches courses in Unfair Competition and other topics. He has received numerous honors including the Albany Law School Faculty Award for Excellence in Teaching and the Schenectady County Bar Association's President's Award. Mr. Hutter is also Special Counsel to the Albany, New York law firm of Powers & Santola, LLP.
